DOMAIN CASTA - AOC Patrimonio (Red)

🍇 90% Nielluccio, 5% Sciaccarello, 5% Vermentino
Simple vinification aimed at extracting just enough of the fruity side of Nielluccio and rounded off by the presence of Vermentino and Sciaccarello. Fermentation in concrete vats then passage in stainless steel vats for 8 months.
On the nose it presents notes of dried figs, very ripe red fruits as well as notes of violet. On the palate, it is a fresh and structured wine with light tannins and good length.

At the age of 16, Rémi Casta's mother took him to the family land in the agriates desert, which had succumbed to a fire in the 1990s. Seeing the land and the breathtaking view, Rémi immediately knew what he wanted to do with his life: revive the family lands of the Casta family. So, after studying agriculture and viticulture near Orange, he created the estate in 2019, helped by his partner Marie Maestrali. They carried out a first planting of vines with the objective of increasing production capacity up to 6 hectares and diversifying with the production of olive oil. They were able to make their first vintage thanks to the Giacometti family, who gave them leased vines until their proposed vines reached maturity. Today Rémi grows his own grapes and vinifies them at the Arena family until his vat room is finished.
